Wash the zucchini under cold water and pat dry with a towel. Safety: Make sure to be careful while using the grater and keep your fingers away from the blades.

Using a box grater, carefully grate the zucchini into a bowl. Make sure to hold the grater securely and keep your fingers safe.
In a separate bowl, grate the cheddar cheese using the same grater. Add the grated cheese to the bowl with zucchini.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated zucchini and cheese with flour, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir well until everything is mixed together.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Safety: Always ask an adult to help with heating the pan!
Spoon batter into the skillet to form small fritters. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Transfer cooked fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Let cool slightly before serving.
