A fun and educational recipe for children to learn how to boil water and cook hard-boiled eggs safely with supervision.

Fill a medium pot with 4 cups of water.
Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to high to start boiling the water.
Once the water is boiling, carefully add the 4 large eggs to the pot using a spoon to avoid splashing.
Set a timer for 9-12 minutes depending on how firm you want the yolks. 9 minutes for soft-boiled, 12 minutes for hard-boiled.
When the timer goes off, carefully remove the pot from the heat and use a spoon to take the eggs out of the boiling water.
Place the eggs in a bowl of cold water to cool them down for a few minutes before peeling.
Once cooled, gently crack the eggs and peel the shells off. Rinse under cold water if needed to remove any tiny pieces of shell.
